Chop Shoppe guitar instructor Dani Rabin is co-founder of
"Marbin," an ambient jazz duo. Formed
in June 2007 by Dani
and saxophonist Danny Markovitch), the duo have defined a new
sound in jazz. The group's unique style combines the use of
modern textures and soundscapes with traditional forms.
During 2007, and early 2008, the band was active in the Israeli
music circuit. Marbin has played numerous shows all through
the country. In september 2009, Marbin relocated to Chicago.
Since their arrival to Chicago, Marbin has collaborated with
Paul Wertico and are featured on his new record "Impressions
of a city". Marbin finished their debut album in June
2009 and are currently performing in the Chicagoland area.
